The University of Petroleum and Energy Studies, Dehradun is a private university established in the year 2003 through the UPES Act, 2003 of the State Legislature of Uttarakhand. The university is popularly known as UPES and it is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The university has been accredited by NAAC with an “A” grade. UPES has received 5 stars on Employability (placements), by globally acclaimed QS Rating. The university has been ranked 3rd best private university in India in QS World Rankings 2023. As per NIRF Ranking 2023, UPES University secured the 52nd position in the university category. UPES Dehradun has eight schools in total. UPES Admissions 2023
UPES admissions are offered to candidates who meet the eligibility criteria determined by the university. Candidates who wish to apply for UPES Dehradun admission can fill out the application form of the university via online mode. The university conducts UPES Engineering Aptitude Test (UPSEAT) for admission in B.Tech courses. JEE Main scores are also considered for UPES B.Tech admission. For admission to law courses, UPES Legal Studies Aptitude Test is conducted.
