WBJEE 2018 Exam Pattern

WBJEE 2018 Exam Pattern

All the candidates appearing for the WBJEE 2018 will have to give the written examination that will comprise of questions from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. There will be three categories of questions namely:

Category 1 shall have questions of 1 mark each. For an incorrect response, 25% of the full mark (1/4) would be deducted.

Category 2, every correct answer will yield 2 marks. For an incorrect response, 25% of the full mark (1/2) would be deducted.

In category 3, questions may have more than one correct options. All correct answers only will yield two marks. Candidates must mark all the correct options in order to be awarded full marks

The marking for the Category 3 questions-

   –For any combination of answers containing one or more incorrect responses, the net mark awarded will be zero (0).

   –For partially correct response without any incorrect marking- Marks awarded = 2 x (no. of correct responses) / (total no. of correct options)

Do note that if you mark more than one answer to a particular question in the OMR sheet, the said answer will be treated as an incorrect response. Marks will be deducted as per the rule of negative marking stated for the respective category.
