The WBJEE 2017 Engineering Eligibility Criteria specifies the rules and regulation mentioned by the conducting authority West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board. WBJEE commonly known as West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination is a state level exam and conducted for the admission of candidates in different engineering courses like BE/B Tech/ B Arch/ B Pharm. Candidates who are applying for the examination must not be less than 17 years of age on or before 31st December of that year. The eligibility criterion consists of candidate’s age limit, domicile and percentage of marks in the qualifying examination, academic qualification etc. Candidates can apply by filling the application form from the official website from December, 2015. Candidates are eligible only if they are a citizen of India.
WBJEE 2017 Engineering Eligibility Criteria
Candidate ought to be a citizen of India and for a consecutive period of 10 years as on 31st December, 2015 or parents of the candidates must be permanent residents of West Bengal.
Candidates applying must be not less than 17 years of age as on 31st December of that year and there is no upper age limit.
Candidates applying for marine engineering must be at least of 17 years and upper age should not be more than 25 years.
WBJEE 2017 Engineering Eligibility Criteria For BE/ B.Tech except Marine Engineering
- Must pass HSC or (10+2) or its equivalent examination from a recognized University/ Board.
- Candidate should score minimum of 45% marks of aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics taken together (40% for SC/ST candidates) and passed individual in PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) and at least 30% marks in English.
WBJEE 2017 Engineering Eligibility Criteria For Marine Engineering course
- Must pass HSC or 12th or its equivalent examination from a recognized University/ Board with minimum of 60% marks in PCM (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) taken together and with at least 50% marks in English whichever in 10th or 12th
- Candidates must also pass individually in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English and Vernacular/any other fifth subject.
