The e-admit cards for the UPSC Common Defence Services examination (II) have been declared. CDS is a national level examination organized by the UPSC for the Indian Military Academy, Naval Academy, Air Force Academy and Officers Training Academy.
The e-admit card for UPSC Common Defence Services examination (II) has been released. All of you who have registered for this examination must have to download their respective card from the official website www.upsc.gov.in. The exam is planned to be held on 23rd October.
CDS is a national level examination organized by the UPSC for the Indian Military Academy, Naval Academy, Air Force Academy and Officers’ Training Academy. CDS-I was conducted around the country at different test centres on February 14. Approximately 8,411candidates had appeared for the examination. This exam is conducted twice every year.
The selected candidates would have to go undergo military training for duration of 1 year and 6 months at IMA. They will be enrolled under the army act as gentlemen cadets. On successful completion of training, gentlemen cadets are granted permanent commission in the rank of Lieutenant subject to being medically fit in shape.
The CDS 1 examination was conducted on February 14.
Steps to download the e-admit card:
- Visit to the official website www.upsc.gov.in
- Under ‘what’s new’, click on ‘e-Admit card-CDS II, 2016’
- Select on ‘download e-Admit card’
- In the provided fields, students must enter their registration number or roll number, date of birth and image code
- Click on submission
- Your admit card will appear on the screen
- Candidates can also save the same and take a print out for future reference
