UPCS IAS Prelims 2015 Results


The results for the preliminary exams that are conducted via the Union Public Service Commission also commonly known as the UPSC has finally been declared. The candidates can make avail of the results via the official website for which the link is http://www.upsc.gov.in/

Steps to view the results:

  • Firstly the candidates will be required to visit the official website the link for which is http://www.upsc.gov.in/
  • Post that they will then be required to click on the tab ‘Written Result- Civil Services Preliminary Exam – 2015’
  • Following which the result will then be displayed on the monitor screens.
  • The candidates will then be able to take a print out of the same in the case of future reference.

The UPSC IAS examination was held on the 23rd of August 2015 in around 71 centers panning across the nation. Above 4.50 lakh candidates had given the test at around 2,186 venues. Those candidates who have been successful in qualifying for the said examination and whop have also found to be eligible as per the prescribed criterion will now have to appear for the UPSC IAS Mains Examination and also for a personality test/interview round. The UPSC IAS Mains examination is scheduled to be held in the month of December 2015.

Those candidates who do get successful in being shortlisted for the final round will then be admitted to the IAS or IPS/ IFS/ IES/ ISS, depending upon the basis of their obtained ranks.

The UPSC IAS examination was conducted in two parts namely: Paper I (General Studies) and Paper II (CSAT/Aptitude Test). Part I of the paper had commenced at 9.30 am while Part II began at around 2.30 pm. Each paper carried 200 mars.

Those candidates who are unsuccessful in clearing the examination this current year need not be anxious as the students belonging to the general category are permitted to attempt the paper for 6 times. Those candidates who belong to the OBC category are permitted to attempt the paper for 9 times w3hereas those candidates who belong to the SC/ST category are permitted to sit for the exam for as many times as they wish to
