The CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) conducted Social Science examination for Class X students on March 22, 2018 from 10.30 am. Most of the students who had appeared for the examination across the various test centers in Delhi and adjoining areas disclosed that the paper was not how it usually is- it turned out to be tricky. However, they did maintain their stand on the exam not being out of syllabus. To ease up, most of the questions asked in the exam were directly picked from the NCERT textbooks. The Map questions which were expected to be difficult, turned out to be very easy as most of the students claimed that they would surely be scoring full marks in the map questions.
Questions 9, 11, 13 and 14 were not direct and thus, required the students to think beyond what they were expecting. Otherwise, the students seem to be happy that the paper was easy. As it was not lengthy, many students ended up finishing the exam before the required time of 3 hours. In all, students were satisfied with the level of difficulty.

However, the experts maintain a bit different stand. According to one of the interviewed school teachers, the paper was a bit lengthy and difficult as well (considering the tricky questions). CBSE Class X exams had started from March 5 2018 and the Social science exam happens to be the third one. The next exam of Mathematics will be held on March 28, 2018. According to the teachers and subject experts, it is expected that he Mathematics paper too, would be easy but test the students on their speed. The last exam of CBSE Class X board exams will be held on April 4 2018.
According to the statistics, more than 28 lakh students from both class 10 and 12 are going to appear for the board exams out of which over 16 lakh students are appearing for the class 10 exams.
