You can apply for any of the session Jan or July according to your interest. You need to fill the separate application with respect to calendar or academic session. You can attain the application form from:

  • University’s sales counters on payment of Rs 100 in cash.
  • From study or Zonal centres on payment of Rs 100 as cash.
  • You can also obtain the Application form by post by sending a Demand Draft of Rs 150 drawn in favour of “ Tamil Nadu Open University” payable at Chennai which is issued by any nationalised or scheduled bank to

  • Before filling the application form you are advised to go through the OMR application forms instructions first.
  • You need to fill the application form and pay the required amount of fee in community college only with respect to the program applied. Fees need to be paid to the University only.
  • You can remit the fee in any SBI or India Bank branch by using the photocopy of the fee remittance challan enclose with the prospectus. The respective bank would keep the bank copy of challan and return the TNOU and students copy of the challan to you. You need to enclose the TNOU copy of the challan with the application form and send it to the university’s address or to the respective study centre.

  • TNOU has a fixed number of study centres within Tamil Nadu state to assist you for the whole admission procedure and learning activities.
  • To coordinate the activities among study centres and university, individual zonal centres have also been founded. These zonal centres act as a link between the 2.
  • After attaining the application form at the desired study centre, authorities would issue the acknowledgement card to you and the zonal centres would send the documents after scrutiny to the admission wing of the university. University would first confirm the information provided by the student and would issue the ID card.
  • If you have not opted for any study centre then the university would allow the nearest location to you according to your address.
  • Study material for all courses has been provided by the study centres after generation enrollment number for the student.
