MNLUAT 2017 – Maharashtra National Law University Admission Test

Maharashtra National Law University Admission Test popularly known as MNLUAT 2017 Exam and is a National level exam. It is conducted to offer admission to students in various undergraduate such as B.A., LL.B (Hons) / B.Com. LL.B (Hons.) Courses and post graduate LL.M (Law Pedagogy & Research) for one year. Students who are interested can fill the application form from the official website www.nlumumbai.edu.in starting April, 2017. The MNLUAT exam is conducted by the National Law University, Mumbai. The MNLU, Mumbai is the 18th National Law University formed in India under the Maharashtra National Law University Act 2014. The Exam is a written objective type and will be conducted at different cities of India like Hyderabad Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi, Jaipur, Chennai, Kolkata etc. The MNLUAT Entrance Exam will be conducted in the month of June, 2016.

MNLUAT 2017 Eligibility Criteria

To apply for MNLUAT 2017 applicants need to satisfy the below conditions:

For UG programme:

Applicant has to be below 21 years of age as on 1st July, 2016 (23 years for SC/ ST/ OBC category students.

Applicant should be passed in their Higher Secondary Examination or its equivalent exam from a recognized University/ College to apply for the test.

Applicant must score a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in their HSC/12th Exam to be eligible and 45% for SC/ ST/ OBC candidates.

For PG programme:

The minimum age of applicant should be 20 years as on 1st July, 1995 to apply for the examination.

Applicant has to obtain an L.L.B degree from either from 3 years or 5 years stream or its equivalent degree from a recognized university/ Board to be eligible.

Applicant need to score at least 55% of aggregate marks in their in their graduation and 50% in case of SC/ ST/ OBC category applicants.

MNLUAT 2017 Application Form

MNLUAT 2017 application form can be filled in the steps given below:

Step 1: Go to official website www.nlumumbai.edu.in to register for the test.

Step 2: Applicants must click on Admission and then on “Apply Online” which will open a new window.

Step 3: Applicant need to register by clicking on “Click here for New Registration” and fill in the basic details like Name, Contact details and Email-ID.

A temporary Registration Number and Password will be generated by the system and displayed on the screen and also will be sent to the Email & SMS provided by the applicant.

Step 4: Applicants need to enter their personal, qualification and other details as required in the application form and click on ‘Save & Next Button’.

Step 5: Applicants need to upload their recent scanned passport size photograph and signature and submit it.

Step 6: After submitting the form applicant need to pay their application fees online through Debit/ Credit Card.

Application fees:

Applicant has to pay an application fees of Rs.3,000/- in the case of General category students and Rs.1,000/- in case of SC/ST/DT/NT/VJNT/SBC/OBC/PWD category students.

MNLUAT 2017 Exam Pattern

For UG programme:

  • Test comprises of 200 multiple choice objective type questions.
  • Applicant will get 1 mark for each correct answer given and 0.33 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.
  • The Duration for the test is 120 minutes.
  • The distribution of questions and subject is as follows:
