The official notification for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2017 will shortly be released. The interested candidates, who are applying for the same, are advised to keep a check at the official website www.clat.ac.in.
CLAT is an all-India entrance examination, organized on rotation by 17 National Law Universities (NLUs) for admissions to 5 year integrated Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Law (BA plus LLB) and 1 year Master of Law (LLM) programme for the academic session 2016-17.
The official website of Common Law Admission Test 2017 (CLAT 2017) states:
“The Common Law Admission Test – 2016 office was stopped as per CLAT-2016 Calendar on July 6, 2016. The procedure for conducting Common Law Admission Test -2017 is in progress, the students are requested to visit CLAT official website www.clat.ac.in from December 2016 onwards for the detailed about CLAT-2017.
All of you should have cleared class 12 or its correspondent examination (students appearing can also apply), from a government- recognised board, with minimum 45% marks (40% in case of SC and ST candidates ) as prescribed by the participating universities.
The students must have completed 5 year integrated LLB programme or its equivalent degree, with at least 55% scores (50 % in case of SC and ST students), from a well known university as prescribed by the participating universities.
CLAT exam is organized by the 17 National Law Universities (NLUs) on a rotational basis. Last year, CLAT exam was organized by Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (RGNUL), Punjab. CLAT 2017 would be organized completely online. The test paper comprise of 200 questions which aspirants have to attempt the paper in 2 hrs duration.
