The Department of Pre-University Education Board is most probably announcing the revaluation results of 590 candidates today.
After the clash on Monday between Parents of distraught and outraged students and The Department of Pre-University Education (DPUE) Director Sushama Godbole regarding the delay in the re-evaluation results which were supposed to happen on June 15 but around 592 student’s results weren’t announced, she had directed to complete all pending re-evaluations by Monday midnight and announce results on Tuesday.
Blunders made by valuators causes outrage
There were a lot of blunders made by the valuators regarding the results claiming due to syllabus revision this year but the Director has claimed that they will provide proper training to them so that a similar situation is not faced the next time around.
Because of the poor quality valuation thousands of students had applied for revaluation and retotaling claiming they’d got much lesser marks than expected. According to Rajshekar R, father of an IIPU student “Every single mark is important for II PU students to get admission for undergraduate courses, particularly those aspiring for professional courses. If you compare their marks in the two valuations, the difference is huge,” “It’s due to the irresponsible attitude of some valuators,” he added.
The results will be announced today and students can view it on the official University website :www.periyaruniversity.ac.in. The students can also get the results from the respective colleges. Also the University has made arrangements to inform the students directly about their results via SMS.
