The University of Oxford, in UK has commenced the admissions into it’s for Oxford-Indira Gandhi Graduate Scholarships that’s being offered by them and is accepting applications via interested and eligible candidates to apply to enroll for the same. The scholarships are for the students who are pursuing their full-time masters’ programme for the academic session 2016.
There are up to two full scholarships that are made available for those applicants who are either ordinarily resident in India or have previously studied at an Indian higher education institution. There are awards that are made for the full duration of your fee liability for the agreed course.
The scholarship will be covering the course fees, college fees and a grant for living costs for full-time students of at least Â£14,057. Those students on part-time courses will receive a study support grant instead.
The following master’s courses are deemed eligible:
- MSc in Biodiversity
- Conservation and Management
- MSc in Contemporary India
- Master of Public Policy
- MSc in Water Science
- Policy and Management
- MSc in Environmental Change and Management
- MPhil in Development Studies
- Bachelor of Civil Law (BCL)
The final selection of the candidates will be made on the basis of academic merit, relevance of studies to the Centre’s interdisciplinary aims, understanding of the development challenges faced by India, and leadership and entrepreneurial potential, scholarships will be awarded.
There wont be any separate application process for this scholarship. In order to be considered, the candidates will be required to submit their application for graduate study by the relevant January deadline for the course.
