OJEE 2018 Exam Pattern is prescribed and strictly followed by the official exam conducting body. Exam pattern encircles the basic structure and the marking scheme which is to be followed in the examination.
OJEE Exam Pattern 2018 is published here so the students can devise the best strategy to crack the examination. Exam pattern refers to the basic format of the exam paper which presents the exact view of the question papers and creates the exact image in the mind of the aspirants.
It is mandatory to understand the OJEE 2018 Exam Pattern before taking the step towards the preparation of the examination. This exam pattern is compulsory to be followed the exam paper follows this pattern.

OJEE 2018 Exam Pattern – Detailed Description
The Exam Pattern is illustrated here for the aspirant’s convenience. Candidates are advised to read the exam pattern so as to make the strong strategy and prepare as accordingly.
Exam Mode – This examination will be held in offline mode. Candidate must have to bring their pen so as to fill the circles in the OMR sheet.
Time duration – Time limit for this exam is 2 hours (120 minutes) as per the Pattern of OJEE 2018 Exam. No extra time will be given to any candidate. Also, this time limit is identical for all category aspirants.
Marking scheme – For each correct answer, 4 marks will be awarded as per exam pattern. It means that each question carries 4 marks. Candidates are advised to attempt the question wisely.
Negative marking – There is no penalty for inaccurate answers. It means there is no negative marking. But don’t attempt the question haphazardly.
No. of questions – There are total 90 questions and only 30 question are common to the participants.
Type of exam – This is the exam with multiple choice questions with 4 answers. Only one answer is accurate.
Sessions of the exam – Exam will be held in 3 sessions i.e. morning, afternoon and evening as per OJEE 2018 Exam Pattern.
OJEE 2018 Exam Pattern – Important Points
- Pen of good quality must bring by the candidate as the borrowing of a pen is not allowed. Also, there is no supply of pens by the main authority.
- OMR sheet with no responses will be considered as cancelled and no rank will be given for it.
- There are two OMR sheets. One is original and one is a carbon copy. The candidate can take the carbon copy of the OMR sheet along with then after handing over the original OMR sheet to the invigilator as mentioned in the Exam Pattern of Odisha JEE 2018.
- The seal of the OMR sheet must be broken exactly 5 minutes before the actual time of the exam after the indication like hooter or permission by the invigilator.
