NMAT 2018 MBA Exam – NMIMS Management Aptitude Test is an entrance examination which is organized every single year by the Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) Mumbai in order to award ambitious candidates admission in programs like Full Time MBA, MBA (Banking), MBA (Pharmaceutical Management), MBA (HR), MBA (Capital Market), at Mumbai campus and a 2-year full-time Post Graduate Diploma in Management PGDM at Hyderabad and Bengaluru campuses. The total number of seats provided in this course is 800. NMIMS Management Aptitude Test (NMAT) 2018 examination is a national level management entrance examination. Candidates from all over the country can apply for this course. It is a simple way to succeed for aspiring candidates.

The NMAT (NMIMS Management Aptitude Test) is one of the most widespread entrance examinations for the admission to the Master of Business Administration (MBA) programs presented by the NMIMS (Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Study) and others. It is a National level PG management courses entrance exam and it is open for the all Indian applicants.

The NMIMS Management Aptitude Test (NMAT) by GMAC exam is computer-delivered and offers each applicant a randomly created exam from a pool of questions, delivered one-at-a-time.

The 3sections of the NMAT by GMAC are individually scheduled. Test takers must answer questions and appraisal answers of each section within the chosen time.

NMAT 2018 list of programmes:

Its better to know all the programs under the NMAT and the seats allotted for it.

  • MBA in Finance, Information, Marketing, Operations & Decision: 500 Seats
  • MBA in Human Resources: 60 Seats
  • MBA in Pharmaceutical Management: 60 Seats
  • PGDM (Bangaluru Campus): 180 Seats
  • PGDM (Hyderabad Campus): 90 Seats

You can apply for more than one campus for more than a single programme.

NMAT Exam Eligibility Criteria

Its always better that you are clear about if you can apply for the examination prior to applying for it so as to avoid any misunderstanding.

For MBA & MBA (HR):

The candidates must have completed their Bachelor’s degree (10+2+3/4) in any discipline scoring a minimum 50% marks in the first attempt via a recognized university for MBA and MBA HR course in the Mumbai Campus.

For MBA (Pharmaceutical Management):

  • The candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree (10+2+3/4) in Pharmacy, Science, Life Sciences, Medical doctors MBBS, BDS, BHMS, BAMS, B.Sc and M.Sc in Biotechnology via a UGC recognized University scoring a minimum 50% marks in the aggregate in first attempt. Those candidates who do possess a Post Graduate degree in Economics, Psychology and Sociology are also deemed eligible to apply
  • Candidates who possess a B.Tech & B.E in Bio-Tech & Bio-Medical are also deemed eligible to apply.
  • The candidate must have completed graduation in the stipulated duration as per the respective University/Institution awarding the degree
  • Those candidates who have cleared their graduation by doing a part-time course or through distance learning, correspondence courses, externally, open school are not eligible to apply
  • Candidates working in Pharmaceutical Companies for more than two years are preferred

For PGDM – Hyderabad Campus

  • The candidate must possess a full Time Bachelor’s Degree (10+2+3/4) in any discipline from a UGC recognized University with minimum 50% marks in the aggregate
  • The candidate must have completed graduation in the stipulated duration as per the respective University/Institution awarding the degree
  • Those candidates who have cleared their graduation by doing a part-time course or through distance learning, correspondence courses, externally, open school are not eligible to apply
  • For all the full time programs, candidates who are appearing for the final examination of their Bachelor’s degree are eligible to apply (Provisional admission is subject to clearing the final examination of their Bachelor’s degree with 50% aggregate marks) and selected candidates must produce all the necessary documents, in original, within the given stipulated time
  • For all the Full Time programs, candidates having two and more years of postqualification work experience will be preferred
  • At the time of admission, the candidate should have cleared all the trimesters/semesters of the Program. No examination of any previous Semester/Trimester to the final Semester/Trimester examination be held subsequent to the final Semester/Trimester examination. No result of any previous Semester/Trimester examination to the final Semester/Trimester examination be declared subsequent to the declaration of the result or the final Semester/Trimester examination
  • Those candidates who have passed, or, have appeared for graduation examination from a University where Grade Point Average is given, such candidates must produce in writing from the University concerned about the equivalent percentage for the GPA/CGPA obtained

NMAT MBA Exam Pattern

The NMAT by GMAC would be an objective type multiple-choice test and there will be no descriptive type questions.

As you have noticed that each of the section has a separate timing and you will have to answer and review the question within the set time. If you do complete s section before the section time is completed the time of the previous section wont get added on to the next section so you will have to speed up!

Do note that if are not satisfied by your NMAT by GMACTM score you are able to schedule for a re-test of NMAT by GMACTM test by visiting NMAT.org and NMIMS (Deemed to-be-University) website both mandatorily & logging in with the allotted username and password

NMAT 2018 Application Form

After you have gone through the eligibility criteria you can apply for the examination online via the official website. The online registration process and filling of the online application forms commence from July 2016 and the last date for registration will be October 2016 so better hurry. Below are the steps to download and submit the NMAT Application Form.

Step 1: The GMAC will carry out the online registration & will conduct NMAT by GMAC™ on behalf of NMIMS. In order to register you are required to visit visit www.nmims.edu.

Step 2: In order to appear for NMAT 2018 by GMAC™,you will have to submit the online application and make the payment of registration charges in any of the prescribed mode within stipulated time

Step 3: Do note that at the time of application the programmes selected by you at NMIMS (Deemed to-be-University) website onlywill be considered even if theyou decide to upgrade your preferences later on at NMAT website

Make sure that you register and complete the application/registration/fees payment process at both the websites – NMIMS (Deemed to-be-University) and NMAT website in order to be considered for further selection process

In case of reapplication, you will have to complete the program selection process again by using the same ID/password used at the time of registration; the last preferences selected by you will be taken as your final preferences for further selection process

As mentioned earlier you can apply for more than one Programme/Campus as per your eligibility by stating preferences.

Do ensure that you to check the information entered in the online registration application form very carefully while registering and again before submitting the application as they will not be allowed to make any changes after the application submission ! You have to fill only one application form even if you’re applying for multiple programs / campuses

Your final selection will be made on the basis of your merit and score in the examination.

Rs.1100/- for normal registration for either MBA Full Time – Mumbai Campus or PGDM – Bangaluru/PGDBM – Hyderabad

Rs.1500/- for both MBA Full Time – Mumbai Campus and PGDM – Bangaluru /PGDBM – Hyderabad

Rs.1100/- for late registration for either MBA Full Time Mumbai Campus or PGDM-Bangaluru/PGDM-Hyderabad
