NITIE PGDIM and PGDISEM Admissions 2016 – National Institute of Industrial Engineering, Mumbai was founded in the year 1963. It is recognized as one of the 15 centers of Excellence along with the 7 Indian Institutes of Technology(IITs), six Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and Indian Institute of Management (IIMs) by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India. It is regarded as one of the top five Indian Schools for supply chain and IT management. The courses which are offered are all approved by AICTE.

Courses Offered by NITIE Mumbai:
- PGDIM [Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Management]
- PGDISEM [Postgraduate Diploma in Industrial Safety and Environmental Management]
These courses are a two year full time program approved by AICTE.
Candidates are shortlisted by the institute on the basis of their CAT (Common Admission Test) scores for Post Graduate Programs in Industrial Management (PGDIM) and Industrial Safety and Environmental Management (PGDISEM)
For CAT candidates need to follow the CAT advertisement of IIM’s, However IIMs have no role either in the selection process or in the conducted of the program.
NITIE PGDIM and PGDISEM Admissions 2016 Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates should have a full time Engineering/Technology degree in any branch from a well known university with total 60 percent (relaxable by 5 percent for SC/ST/PwD candidates) to be eligible. Students who are currently in the final year of graduation can also apply provided to the following conditions: Complete their examination by June 2016, give their final year marksheet and certificates by Sept 2016.
In order to apply for the programs candidates need to take the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2015 held by the IIMs.
NITIE PGDIM and PGDISEM Application Procedure
PGDIM/PGDISEM programs have the similar application process. Candidates need to visit the admission portal online and fill up the form available.
A fee of Rs 1000/- (Rupees One thousand only) is charged as application fee in case of General and OBC candidates, whereas Rs 500(Rupees Five Hundred only) for SC/ST/PwD candidates.
The candidates are selected for the GD and PI process on the basis of their CAT scores subject to meeting the minimum eligibility criteria. Shortlisted candidates are invited to the institute campus for the GD and PI rounds.
Merit list is on the basis of a combined score which takes into account the candidates academic records, CAT score, relevant work experience (if any) and their performance in the GD and PI process.
