NIMCET 2017 Counselling and Seat Allotment will be conducted for the admission of candidates into various NITs across India. NIMCET stands for National Institute of Technology MCA Common Entrance Test. Candidates who qualify NIMCET will be getting admission in NITs (National Institute of Technology) and in HBTUs (Harcourt Butler Technical University). There is a total of 815 MCA seats are available in various NITs across India, the admission for this seats will be done through NIMCET 2017 Counselling. NIMCET 2017 examination was conducted for the admission for MCA admission, after the declaration of results of the same. The counselling of NIMCET 2017 has begun. NIMCET 2017 Counselling – Detailed Information

The NIMCET 2017 Counselling will consist with a choice of filling by candidates on the basis of rank of NIMCET 2017. After the process of seat allotment, there will be four stages for this counselling session of NIMCET 2017 counselling. Those rounds are as following, round 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and Final Seat Allotment. There will be 2 rounds for a choice of filling, one will be at the beginning of counselling and the second one will be done before the final round.

As of now, the choice of filling is going on now, which has started on 9th June of 2017 and will be finished on 14th June of 2017.

NIMCET 2017 Counselling – Choice Filling

The following will be the method for a choice of filling for NIMCET 2017 Counselling.

  • To do the choice filling, candidates must log in with their hall ticket and password.
  • Now candidates can decide their order of preference. Then fill choices.
  • Candidates must lock their choices before 5 PM of 14th June of 2017.
  • Seat allotment for candidates will be made on the basis of their candidates rank and choice of institutes made by them.

Candidates can choose any of the following options regarding getting admission based on allotments.

First Option: – Candidates who are interested in finalising with the first allotment and wishing to join in the allotted institute can do that thing (They will not go for upcoming allotments).

Second Option: – The candidates who all are going for next allotment rounds will be allotted with seat according to their choices.

Fee Payment: – The fee payment (initial fee payment) of Rs 10000/- will be done through the official web page of NIMCET 2017.

The first round of allotment. 17th June of 2017 At this stage candidates need to check allotment in website, download and print seat allotment letter.
Candidates personal reporting at any one of reporting centre against the first round of allotment. 23rd & 24th  June of 2017 Allotted candidates of first round must report in person at some reporting centre and get documents verified, submit payment receipt for the initial fee of Rs. 10,000/- paid through SBI-I collect and NIMCET website and exercise option 1 or 2 and obtain provisional admission letter from reporting centre.
Candidates who fail report at the reporting centre will be rejected and they won’t be able to attend any subsequent rounds.
The second round of allotment. 30th June of 2017 The same as the first round.
Candidate personal reporting at any one of reporting centre against the second round of allotment 06th & 07th July of 2017 Fresh candidates in second round must report in person at some reporting centre and get documents verified, submit payment receipt for the initial fee of Rs. 10,000/- paid NIMCET 2017 website and exercise option 1 or 2 and obtain provisional admission letter from reporting centre.
Candidates who got seat allotted in the earlier round and upgraded in this round of allotment must approach the same reporting centre for the change of their option from option 2 to option 1 and do so. However, if they do not wish to change their earlier option then they need not report.
Candidates who fail report at the reporting centre will be rejected and they won’t be able to attend any subsequent rounds.
The third round of allotment. 11th July of 2017 Same as the second round.
Candidates who wish to join the institute in which seat is allotted. 17th & 18th July of 2017 Fresh candidates in the third round must report in person at the allotted institute and get documents verified, pay the full fee and attend classes.
Candidates who got seat allotted in the earlier round(s) must also join the Institute with the allotted seat or upgraded seat whichever is latest.   Pay the remaining fee and attend the classes.
Candidates of round  1,2 and  3  who are  not satisfied with their allotment of the seat including upgraded seat and do not wish to get admitted to the allotted institute, but still wish to remain in consideration for the final round of allotment. 17th & 18th July of 2017 Fresh candidates in the third round must report in person at some reporting centre and get documents verified, surrender the allotted seat and obtain the letter of reporting from reporting centre.
Candidates who got seat allotted in the earlier round(s) and upgraded in this round of allotment, but do not wish to join the institute must approach the same reporting centre, surrender the seat by filling a prescribed application and get the letter of reporting.
The announcement of vacant seats. 22nd July of 2017 Candidates who has not got the seat in any round of allotment and candidates who have acted as stated in S No. 6 b are only eligible for final allotment round.
However, the candidates who got the seat in some round but not reported at that time are not eligible for the final round of allotment. Candidates who have reported but later cancelled their seat are also not eligible for final round allotment.
Fresh Choice filling. 23rd & 24th July of 2017 All eligible candidates for the final round of allotment must fill their choices afresh and final allotment round if any planned by NIMCET-2017.
The final round of allotment. 26th July of 2017 Check allotment in website, download and print seat allotment letter. Candidates must report in person at the allotted institute and get documents verified, pay the fee and attend classes. The last date of reporting against final round of allotment is on or before 2nd August 2017.

NIMCET 2017 Counselling – HBTU Kanpur Admission

Candidates from UP (Uttar Pradesh) state only will be getting admission in HBTU Kanpur. The seat allotment for each candidate will be done on the basis of the declaration made by candidates. Candidates needed to produce the original and attested (by any gazetted officer or by themselves) copies of the following documents at the MNNIT reporting centre Allahabad. The documents are, certificated related to UP Domicile, Armed Forces, Freedom Fighter, PwD.

If any candidate fails to produce the required certificates for the declared subcategories, then the candidature of the candidate will be cancelled for that particular round. The same candidate will be considered for the upcoming subsequent rounds and allotment will be based on their other choices of preferences.
