The National Institute of Fashion Designing commonly known as NIFT will soon be conducting the entrance examination for various UG and PG courses in fashion streams and is thus accepting applications from all Indian as well as foreign candidates for the admission through the NIFT entrance exam. The examination is scheduled to be conducted in selected major cities of India.

- Bachelor of Design (4 years)
- Accessory Design
- Fashion Communication
- Fashion Design
- Knitwear Design
- Leather Design
- Textile Design
- Bachelor of Fashion Technology (4 years)
- Apparel Production
- Master of Design (2 years)
- Master of Fashion Management (2 years)
- Master of Fashion Technology (2 years)
The eligibility criterion is set on the basis of the educational qualification a candidate possesses.
For UG courses
Those candidates who are interested in applying for this course must ensure that they should have passed Class 12 or its equivalent examination via any recognized education board of India or its equivalent. In the case of apparel production the candidates must have the Physics, Chemistry and mathematics in Class 12.
The candidates who are currently appearing for the qualifying examination in 2016 are also deemed eligible for the test.
The maximum age limit of the candidate is 23 years.
For PG courses
Those candidates who wish to apply for M.Des and MFM the candidates should endure that they do have bachelor degree from any recognized university
The candidates should have completed a diploma in UG design or any UG diploma of minimum of 3 years duration from NIFT/NID only.
Those candidates who wish to apply for master of fashion technology they should ensure that they do pass the Bachelor degree in same branch from NIFT or having the BE/B.Tech from any recognized university of India.
The candidates who are currently appearing for the qualifying examination in 2016 are also deemed eligible to apply for the test.
There is no age limit.
