NIFT offers various Bachelor’s and Master’s programs in design and technology.  The authority will provide admission through NIFT examination only.

After getting qualified in NIFT examination, you may apply in at any of 16 campuses of NIFT. The examination of NIFT will be commenced only once in a year.     NIFT 2018 Programs Offered

    The following are the programs offered by the NIFT in UG & PG levels. Take a look at the following points to know that which all the programs are offered by NIFT.

    NIFT 2018 Examination Date

    NIFT 2018 Application Form

    The important details on NIFT 2018 have provided below. You must notice that the access for application form has started from the 20th October of 2017. You can fill the NIFT 2018 Application Form in online mode only. There will be the last date to submit the application fee without late fee. After the said period of time, there will be a fine of rupees 5000 will be applicable of application form submission. You have to take the printout of application form after submission. This might help you for future references. You are also advised to retain the proof of payment.

    NIFT 2018 Application Form Fee Details

    The fee details of NIFT 2018 will be varied according to the category. The following table will give you details on the application fee. Take a look to know more.

    You will be able to pay the application fee either in Online Payment Gateway (Credit/ Debit card) or through Bank Demand Draft. If you are posting Bank DD, then the same must be issued in favour of ‘NIFT HO’ which is payable at New Delhi. Later, you have to send the completed application form along with the DD to the following address.

    NIFT 2018 Eligibility Criteria

    The eligibility criteria of NIFT 2018 will be as follows. The qualification will be different for UG & PG programs. Take a look at the following details to know better about the eligibility criteria of NIFT 2018.

    NIFT 2018 Eligibility Criteria UG Programs

    The UG eligibility criteria for NIFT 2018 will be as follows. There are main 2 programs in UG level. Take a look at the following table to know detailed about the eligibility for UG programs in NIFT 2018.

    B. Des You must have qualified in 12th/ 10+2/ PUC/ Plus Two/ Pre Degree/ HSSLC from any recognised state of the central board like; CBSE, CISCE etc.

    OR

    General Certificate Education (GCE) Examination (London/ Cambridge/ Srilanka) at the Advanced (A) level/ International Baccalaureate (IB).

    OR

    Any Public School/ Board/ University Examination which is equivalent to 10+2/ 12th from India or any foreign Universities recognised by AIU.

    OR

    Qualified in/ Appearing for the Senior Secondary School Examination, which is conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of 5 subjects.

    OR

    3 or 4-year diploma from any reputed recognized institution.

    B. F. Tech For this program, you have to be qualified in 10+2/ 12th from state/ central board of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as major subjects.

    OR

    You must be a candidate who has got 3 or 4-year diploma in any engineering branch.

    The age limit for the admission into UG programs offered under NIFT 2018 will be as follows. The maximum age limit will be 23 years as on 1st October of 2018. There will be a relaxation of 5 years for this case towards SC/ ST/ PwD candidates, so their limit will be 28 years as on 1st October of 2018.

    NIFT 2018 Eligibility Criteria PG Programs

    The PG eligibility criteria for NIFT 2018 will be as follows. There are main 3 programs in PG level. Take a look at the following table to know detailed about the eligibility for PG programs in NIFT 2018.

    There is no age limit prescribed to join in PG programs. The detailed eligibility criteria will be as follows

    NIFT 2018 Exam Pattern

    The exam pattern of NIFT 2018 will be as follows. The detailed information given below will provide you all the information regarding the NIFT 2018 Exam Pattern. The exam pattern of NIFT 2018 will be included with GAT, CAT, and GD/ PI. The detailed information on the same has explained below. For all the 5 courses offered by NIFT, General Ability Test (GAT) will be the written test. GAT will be the 1st selection test for B. Des & M. Des programs in NIFT. B. Des & M. Des aspirants have to qualify in CAT (Creative Ability Test) after the GAT.

    If you will qualify for these both written tests, then you will be called up for Situation Test (for B. Des)/ GD or PI (for M. Des). If you are applying in for B. F. Tech, then GAT will be the only one selection test which you have to face. Aspirants who are onto MFM/ M. F. Tech have to participate in the GD/ PI programs after qualifying in GAT.     Mode of the Examination GAT examination will be commenced in offline mode as PBT for all programs.
    Duration of the Examination The duration of the GAT examination will be varied according to the program. The following details show the duration of each program.

    In B. Des & M. Des programs, there will be a test paper which is called as CAT (Creative Ability Test) which tests the innovative and creative ability of applicants. In B. Des program there will be another test also, which is called as situation test. The situation test will be evaluating your material handling and innovative skills.     NIFT 2018 Admit Card

    The admit card details of NIFT 2018 has provided below. The admit card of NIFT 2018 will be available for all the selected candidates. All the applicants who have got selected for the admission process of NIFT 2018 can download the NIFT 2018 Admit Card from the 9th January of 2018.

    You must notice that the admit card will be available in online mode only and the same will not be send to the applicants through post at any circumstance. The admit card is one of the most necessary document and you have to carry the same on the examination day mandatorily. If you fail to produce the admit card on the examination day, then you won’t be allowed to take the examination.

    NIFT 2018 Result

    The result of NIFT 2018 will be declared in the month of February/ March 2018. The authority will be declaring the NIFT 2018 result on the official website of NIFT. You will be able to check the result from the official website of NIFT. The result of B. F. Tech will be prepared on the basis of GAT. The result for B. Des will be prepared on the basis of GAT, CAT and situation test. M. Des result will be prepared on the basis of GAT, CAT, GD/ PI. The result for MFM and M. F.     The counselling for the NIFT 2018 will be commenced after the declaration of merit list.
