Noida-The answer key of XAT 2019 has been released by the examination conducting authority i.e. Xavier Labour Relation Institute (XLRI) on 12th January 2019. With the release of official answer key, candidates can check the recorded answers, and question paper as well in online mode by visiting the official website. To access the answer key, candidates have to use their XAT ID and password which they had received after the completion of the registration process.
Since the notification of official answer key has been made available on 12th January 2019, the candidates who could not access the same can wait for 15-20 and can check again as the response sheet for some of the has not been uploaded. The answer key contains the correct answers for the questions asked in the XAT 2019 exam. Therefore, to calculate the estimated or probable marks, candidates need to know the marking scheme first. So, 74 questions will be evaluated for calculating the final percentile. Candidates for each correct answer will be endowed with 1 mark and for attempting negative answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted. Moreover, in case a candidate does not attempt more than 8 questions, his/her 0.10 marks will be deducted and accordingly, the percentile will be calculated.
Further, whilst checking the official answer key of XAT 2019, the candidates can even find the discrepancy. Therefore, in such case, candidates have the liberty to challenge the answer key until 14th January 2019 by 3:00 pm. So, accordingly, the window to raise an objection against discrepancy will remain open for 2 days only and most importantly, the candidates have not to the objection fee to raise the challenge.
Now, heading towards the procedure required for the objection, candidates have to send the objection at email@example.com. In the email, candidates have to provide the XAT id, name, question id, objection and, most importantly the correct answer along with the evidence of objection. Furthermore, the subject line for the mail should be <XAT ID> Objection <Question Id>. To raise the valid doubts, candidates must cross-verify with other XAT test-takers and then raise an objection regarding the same.
The proper scrutinization of the objection will be done once the officials of XLRI will receive the challenges. If the objections done by the candidates seems valid to the officials, the updated response will be considered for preparing the final result to be released on 31st January 2019. Lastly, candidates ought to check the response sheet, cross-check the answers and in case of discrepancy, challenge the answer key before the deadline of raising an objection.
