NOIDA: West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board has released the official information bulletin of WBJEE 2019 on its website. According to the official brochure, the application form for WBJEE 2019 will be rolled out on 26th December 2018 and the applicants can submit their application forms online till 22nd January 2019. The application fee of WBJEE 2019 will be Rs. 500 plus charges levied by bank, which can be paid by net banking, debit card, or credit card online.

An applicant should be the Indian citizen and on 31st December 2019, he/ she should be at least 17 years old. Hence, the applicant should be born on or before 31st December 2002. There are no criteria for upper age limit. Only for marine engineering, the lower age limit remains the same but the upper age limit specifically for this course would be 25 years.

As far as academic qualification for engineering is required, a candidate must have passed 10+2 from any recognized educational board with Physics and Mathematics as mandatory and any of the Chemistry/ Biology/ Biotechnology/ Computer Technology/ Computer Application/ Technical Vocational Course. The qualifying marks would be 45% in aforesaid 3 subjects, taken together. The reserved categories i.e. SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-D, and PwD will be given a relaxation of 5%.

The candidates looking to get admission into B.Pharma through WBJEE 2019 need to possess the 10+2 qualification with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/ Biology with 45%. The relaxation for reserved category will remain the same i.e. 5%. The candidates from National Institute of Open Schooling or any other non-classroom based schooling will not be eligible for pharmacy.

The applicants who are appearing in 10+2 in 2019 will also be eligible to take up WBJEE 2019 but if they failed to qualify their 10+2 as per the criteria, their candidature for the admission will not be considered by the authority.

There will be no residential or domicile criteria for WBJEE 2019 and it won’t be mandatory for the candidates to be the citizen of West Bengal. However, the state domicile will be asked by the government aided engineering, pharmacy, and technical colleges. Moreover, if the candidates are applying under the reserved category, then also they need to present their West Bengal domicile certificate.

After submission of the application forms on 22nd January 2019, the correction window will be activated by the apex body from 23rd January 2019 to 25th January 2019. It will enable the candidates to correct the mistakes they committed while filling the application form.

The applicants, whose application forms will be approved by the conducting body, will be able to download their WBJEE admit card 2019 on the official website from 7th May 2019. The WBJEE 2019 exam will be held on 19th May 2019 (Sunday) in two shifts. Paper 1 (Mathematics) will be conducted in first half from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm and Paper 2 (Physics & Chemistry) will be performed in second half from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

After exam, the curiosity for the WBJEE 2019 result will end up on 25th June 2019 when the result will be declared on the official website.
