On Wednesday, the Uttar Pradesh Education Department suspended 60 teachers for allegedly presenting B.Ed degrees to get the government teacher jobs. The news was reported by an official from the department.
According to the District Basic Shiksha Adhikari Chandra Shekhar, the teachers who were transferred to Mathura earlier from other districts will also be dealt with legal procedures.
The official said that the government has identified over 4,500 government school teachers who attained the job on the basis of fake B.Ed degrees.
The District Basic Shiksha Adhikari of different districts have been assigned with the responsibility of identifying the teachers recruited with fake degrees. Mr Shekhar said that the number of such teachers is expected to be surged.
