Noida- The University of Jammu has postponed the exams after the Pulwama attack considering the security of the students. The exams were scheduled to be held from 15 February 2019, Friday. The reschedule will be soon released by the University on their official website. The news of reschedule of the exam was circulated on the official website of the University immediately after the attack.
“It is hereby notified for the information of all concerned that all the examinations of the University of Jammu scheduled to be held on the 15th of February 2019 (Friday) stand postponed due to unavoidable circumstances. The fresh date shall be notified later on, as per the official circular released by the University.
After the terrorist attack in Pulwama on Thursday, the Jammu Chamber of commerce and Industry called for a strike in the valley. After the Pulwama attack violence broke out from the people and a dozen of people were injured and about half a dozen vehicles torched in Gujjar Nagar of Jammu.
Considering the security of the students, University decided to postpone the examination which should be started from 15 February 2019. The new schedule of examination is yet to be announced by the University. It is expected that the exams will be scheduled after the violence completely ends.
Various political, social and religious organizations supported the bandh with the motive to protest the killing of 44 CRPF Jawans in a militant attack in Kashmir’s Anantnag district. Considering the orders, University of Jammu postponed examination on a priority basis. After seeing the violence, they immediately release the circular on their official website and inform students about the reschedule of examinations.
