Telangana Inter Result 2019: High Court orders rechecking of answer sheets as 3 lakh students failed

Noida – The Telangana high court has ordered the Telangana board to revaluate the answer sheets of the students. Recently, the Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) has declared the Intermediate result of the 1st and 2nd year exam conducted by the board across the state and over 2 Lakh students failed to clear the inter exam. An NGO has filed a petition regarding the issue and thereafter, on April 23, the Telangana high court has ordered the Telangana Board to start with the process of revaluation of answer sheets of all the failed candidates.

A total of 9 lakh students had appeared in the Telangana Intermediate exam 2019 which was conducted in the month of February & March. As per the result of exam, many bright students who did well in the first year exam failed in the second year. Even many of the students were awarded zero, one or two marks which have led several students to commit suicides in the state.

A petition has been filed by an NGO. The NGO has also sought a thorough probe into the lapses and compensation to the families of the students who ended their lives. As per PTI report, the court, was hearing a petition filed by the NGO and gave time to the Telangana board till April 29 (Monday) to disclose how much time it would take for completion of revaluation.

“At least eight students allegedly committed suicide while several others attempted to end their lives after they failed to clear the exam. Eleven students who scored over 900 (out of total 1,000), 125 with scores between 850 and 900 and about 2,000 who scored over 750 were declared failed in one subject which varied among students” The president of Telangana Government Junior College Lecturers Association, Madhusudhan Reddy told PTI.

Telangana Board supplementary exams 2019:

The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) has recently announced the date sheet for the supplementary exams on its official website at bie.telangana.gov.in. The supplementary exams will be conducted for those students who could not clear a subject or two in the TS intermediate exams. The supplementary exams are scheduled to be conducted in May 2019. The exams will start from May 16, 2019 for both first and second-year intermediate students and will conclude on May 27, 2019. The practical exams will be conducted from May 28 to May 31, 2019. The ethics and human value exam is scheduled to be conducted on June 1, 2019 and the environmental education exam will be held on June 3, 2019.
