RRB to Recruit 2.30 Lakh Staff in two years: Piyush Goyal

NOIDA: RRB has announced to conduct its one more mega recruitment process in two years. It has announced to hire 2.30 lakh employees in the coming two years. The specialty of this recruitment drive is that 10% vacancies will be reserved for economically weaker section (EWS). Piyush Goyal, the union minister of Railway had states it on Wednesday. The motive of RRB is to recruit eligible & deriving candidates against the vacant seats offered.

Railways have earlier announced the recruitment drive for 1.50 lakhs vacancies which will be completed by March. An average of 2.27 Crore candidates has applied to appear in the March month recruitment drive of RRB. V K Yadav, railway board chairman has declared that 1.5 lakh vacancies which were offered in 2018 will be completed by March – April of the academic year 2019. In an announcement he added that 4 lakh candidates will be hired by RRB in the coming 2 years.

There are about 12 lakh employees therein Railways and among them 40,000 to 50, 000 employees retire consecutively. Railways have become the first central government to execute 10% quota for
EWS (economically weaker section) by employing large number of deserving candidates. RRB has planned to recruit candidates in advance so that no vacancy will leave. V K Yadav said that the motive of
RRB is not to leave any designation vacant.

RRB has announced that the first phase of mega recruitment drive will started by recruiting 1.31 lakh which will be started from February to March of the academic year 2019. The motive of RRB is to complete the cycle of recruiting deriving candidate till April – May 2019. The Recruitment of 99,000 candidates against the retire employees will be started.
