NOIDA: Teachers and principal of a government girl’s schools in Punjab are suspended for allegedly making the girls strip to check who was wearing a sanitary pad, after finding a soiled pad in the toilet of the school. This information was conveyed by an official spokesperson on Tuesday.
The inquiry report was submitted to Punjab CM Captain Amrinder Singh and on Monday night, the order was issued. This incident was addressed as the case of ‘gross negligence’, insensitivity, and inhuman behavior by the teachers of the school.
The spokesperson added that the headmaster Kuldeep Kaur and teacher Jyoti were suspended in order to obey the CM’s directives.
The principal and the teacher, who have been suspended, will be charged under the Rule 8 of the conduct rule according to the official spokesperson.
The video of the incident went viral in which the students were crying and showing dissatisfaction against the teachers making them strip in the premises of the school. After that, the whole incident was brought to the notice of chief minister. Actually, this shameful act took place to check who was wearing sanitary pad, after finding a soiled pad in the toilet of the school.
The CM has cleared to the concerned authorities to take the strictest action against the culprits who challenged the dignity of the students. He said that there should not be any compromise at any cost.
CM said that it’s the responsibility of the government to offer a favorable learning environment for the better education and empowerment of girls.
The CM had ordered a probe on Friday into the accusations made by the students and their parents about this stripping incident in the school. Amrinder Singh had also had a word with Secretary Education Krishan Kumar to complete the whole investigation by Monday and take a suitable action against the culprits.
