The celebration committee is going to organize different types of programmes to familiarise school children with Mahatma Gandhi’s principles and ideas on the occasion of the 150th birth anniversary of Gandhiji. In a press conference held on Thursday, One of the members of the ‘Mahatma Gandhi 150 Celebration Committee, retired Supreme Court judge, Justice Ashok Kumar Ganguly announced that celebration committee will organize programmes to familiarise school children with Mahatma Gandhi’s thoughts and ideas and also said this was very important as we have started forgetting Gandhiji’s words and deeds.
Justice Ashok Kumar Ganguly also said “As element of our initiative to introduce the existing era to the thoughts and perform of Gandhiji, we will organise yr lengthy programmes in colleges from Oct 2, his birthday.”
Senior Congress leader and MP Pradip Bhattacharya, who is an additional member of celebration committee, announced that the celebration committee will organize capabilities at the Gandhi Ashram in Barrackpore on Oct 2 to spread the beliefs and vision of Mahatma Gandhi. Bhattacharya also regretted on current time and said that the present day youth have “forgotten” about Gandhiji and his motion of non-violence. The programs on Gandhiji will help the youths to know Mahatma Gandhiji’s great ideas and principles.
