Around 1019 students of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan have cracked the JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) advanced 2019 conducted by the IIT Roorkee. The JEE Advanced Result was announced on the 14th of June and around 6094 KVS students had appeared for it. The JEE (Advanced) was conducted in the IITs located across the country.
The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan is an autonomous body under the Union of the Ministry of Human Resource Development (HRD). On the 27th of May 2019, the JEE advanced was held. Around 1, 61,319 candidates had appeared for both the papers in the JEE (advanced) of which only 38,705 candidates qualified, out of them around 5,356 candidates were female candidates. In the Common Rank List (CRL) of JEE (Advanced) 2019 Kartikey Chandresh Gupta of Ballarpur is the top rank holder. He scored 346 marks out of 372 marks.
As per the date, there are only 1205 Kendriya Vidyalayas are functioning across the whole country with three being run by the Embassies of Tehran, Kathmandu, and Moscow who are catering education to over 12.75 lakh students.
The year, the KVS has also delivered the highest result ever in the CBSE class 12 examination with the overall pass percentage of 98.54 percentage and topped the category of all the institutes for the second consecutive year.
