NEW DELHI –The question paper of OTET (Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test) has leaked on the social media, yet the examination body is not confirmed about the same. With an unfortunate expectation, the OTET questions have leaked on all the social media platforms including Facebook and Twitter. Like any other examinations conducted at the national level across the country, there has been a haphazard when the paper gets leaked.
According to the reports and analysis attained by the Board of Secondary Education Odisha, 1.75 lakh students have registered for appearing in the examination which was scheduled on the January 16’ 2019. There were supposed to be two shifts that are, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. The former was supposed to be started at 10 AM and the latter at 2 PM.
The OTET examination is a national entrance examination which is conducted in the offline mode for all the aspiring candidates. Paper 1 is conducted for enrolling teachers for classes 1 to 8 and the paper 2 is conducted for recruiting teachers for teaching students of class 6 to 8. All the students are expected to hold hopes for the best to happen during and after the exam.
As the latest notifications are concerned, the students at Rourkela have initiated a dharna in front of the Uditnagar High School following the cancellation of the examinations pertaining to the few centres concerned. Soon after the paper had been leaked, the OPCC chief targeted the state government saying that there is a discrepancy in offering even the limited educational options to the students of the country.
