NTA to conduct UGC NET 2019 exam in June

NOIDA- NTA (National Testing Agency) has announced to conduct UGC NET 2019 in June 2019 and the schedule has also been released for the same. National Testing Agency will conduct the National Eligibility Test (NET) a second time on behalf of UGC (University Grants Commission).

There will 84 subjects to choose from in NET 2019 and it will be organized in 91 different cities. The participants can sit in this exam for eligibility of Assistant Professor post only or Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) or both.

The registration for UGC NET 2019 will remain open from 1st March to 30th March 2019. All the applicants who want to register can do their NET registration on official website i.e. nta.ac.in or ntanet.nic.in.

UGC NET admit card 2019 will be made available from 15th May 2019. This exam will be conducted in different phases on 20th, 21st, 24th, 25th, 26th, 27th and 28th June, 2019.

The UGC NET exam will consist of two test papers.  To solve each paper, the students will be given three hours. The candidates who qualify for JRF will be benefitted with various schemes of UGC fellowship programs.

The eligibility certificate will remain valid for the duration of three years. Candidates will be allowed to take up only those subjects they study in their post-graduation.

As per a notification issued by NTA, the syllabus for UGC NET 2019 will be changed and the updated one will be uploaded on the website of UGC- ugcnetonline.in.

In December, NTA conducted UGC NET very first time. Last time, the turn-up percentage was 65.3% and 72.8% for day 1 and 2 respectively. NET was conducted in 85 subjects in 235 cities last time.
