National Testing Agency i.e. NTA has released the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET 2020) schedule. It is India’s largest entrance exam for admission to the medical course like MBBS & BDS. Earlier, NTA had conducted the previous NEET exam. The interested applicants will be able to fill the NEET 2020 application from 2nd Dec to 31st Dec 2019.
The online application will be provided on the official website of NTA i.e. ntaneet.nic.in.
NEET UG 2020 will be attempted by all the students who have qualified their 10+2 in science stream with Biology as a major subject. The NEET 2020 UG exam will be held on 3rd May 2020 thorough pen-paper mode. The admit cards for the NEET 2020 exam will be issued from 27th March 2020.
The date for NEET UG 2020 results has also been announced i.e. 4th June 2020.
Exam Pattern of NEET-UG 2020
NEET paper will be divided into three sections- Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. The students will be given 3 hours to write this paper and there will be 180 questions. Most of the questions will be asked from the Biology section i.e. 90 questions. There will be 45 questions from each of the Physics and Chemistry section.
According to the experts, class 11th and 12th NCERT books are considered the best for NEET preparation.
As far as the marking scheme is concerned, there will be a negative marking applicable. Four marks will be credited for each correct answer whereas one mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer. No marks will be given for un-attempted questions.
The government of India has constituted the National Testing Agency (NTA) to organize the national level entrance exams like NEET-UG/ PG, NET, JEE Main, etc. It is set up to shed off the over-burden of CBSE, which was the apex body to conduct these exams earlier.
