NEET 2019 Exam Analysis and Experts’ Opinion for Expected Cut-Off

On 5th May 2019, National Testing Agency (NTA) had conducted NEET UG 2019 exam and over 1.5 million students participated in the same. NEET 2019 was conducted as an entrance-cum-eligibility test for admission to undergraduate courses run by countrywide medical and dental colleges. According to the expert opinions, having said that NEET 2019 question paper comprised of moderate to difficult questions in each section and most of the questions were based on NCERT text books. NTA is expected to release the NEET UG 2019 answer key and after the release of final answer key, the result of NEET 2019 will be announced.

According to Academic Head of GetEntrance, the questions can be evaluated between easy to moderate. The students who prepared with NCERT text books   must have found the question paper easy. The exam pattern of NEET 2019 was as similar as the previous year’s question paper. Around 8 questions were directly asked from NEET 2018 paper and NCERT books. The aspirants who have relied on NCERT text books will be scoring high. NEET 2019 qualification cutoff is expected to be in the range of 125-135 whereas the admission cut-off for NEET 2019 is anticipated to range between 510 and 520.

Physics section was the easiest among all the subjects. However, the difficulty level of Physics numerical was high.  In the chemistry section, the difficulty level was moderate. Botany and zoology section was full of logical and straight questions with high emphasis on Microbes in Human welfare in Botany and cell the unit of life having in Zoology.

As per him, the overall level of NEET 2019 UG exam was moderate with Physics being the toughest section among all. On the other hand, biology was easy but time-taking. According to VP, the cutoff for NEET 2019 qualification will sit around 130-140.

The question-wise analysis of Physics section as per him concludes with 9 trick questions, 7 easy, and 25 moderate questions from the total 45 questions.

The questions based on chemical reactions were tricky in the chemistry section. Out of 45 sections in chemistry section, 20 were moderate, 7 were tricky, and 18 were easy to attempt. Though biology section was easy but the questions were lengthy in nature and took a lot of time of the students. Among the overall 90 questions in biology, 45 were moderate, 35 were easy, and the difficulty level of 10 questions was high.

The exam pattern and duration of NEET UG 2019 was as same as the previous year and the biology section was shuffled between zoology and botany.

In case of Physics section, the exam was highly easy and the students were pleased with the simple theory-based questions and straight numerical with no tricky brainer. As compared to last year, Physics was much easier than the previous year.

Chemistry was also moderate in nature and included easy and direct questions demanding no complex calculations and understanding.

Biology was the toughest among all the sections and included most of the questions out of NCERT text books. The questions were confusing and the theoretical questions were very lengthy. Experts have opined that students must have encountered the most problems in the Biology section of NEET 2019.
