NOIDA- As per the official sources, the Jammu and Kashmir State Board of School Education will give an opportunity to the students to again appear for the examinations if they missed the same owing to the impact of heavy snowfall.
Shahid Choudhary, Deputy Commissioner of Bandipore district stated on his official twitter page, “All those students who could not appear for the exams due to the adverse impact of snowfall in the region will be given one more chance to give the exam once the climate situation gets under control. Board of School Education or BOSE has accepted our request and this rule will be applicable to all other incidents of the same type in future.”
Due to extremely bad climatic conditions in Jammu and Kashmir state, various number of flights are cancelled in the Srinagar Airport. Not only this, the roads are packed with worse traffic jams and water-logging. There are also the power failures due to snowfall in various areas of Srinagar.
On November 3, the state of Himachal Pradesh has also become the victim of heavy snowfall in a wide range of districts the included Kullu, Lahaul-Spiti, Kinnaur and various others. This type of adverse weather conditions is devastating the apple orchids in various parts of Kinnaur district.
In the meantime, about 70 people were given the rescue when they got stuck in the Manali-Leh National Highway in Lahaul-Spiti as the movement of vehicles got closed due to the snowfall on November 2.
