JEE Advanced 2019 reschedules due to general elections

NOIDA -After the amendments in the exam schedule of JEE Main April 2019, the JEE Advanced 2019 has also been rescheduled by the authorities due to general elections. As per an IIT- Roorkee official statement, the JEE Advanced 2019 exam date has been rescheduled to 27th May 2019, instead of 19th May 2019. The general elections will conclude on 19th May. This year, IIT-Roorkee will act as the conducting body of JEE Advanced 2019.

“Taking into account the clash between the JEE Advanced 2019 and the last phase of general elections, the conducting body has decided to shift the exam on 27th May 2019 which will fall on Monday. Same date has been decided to conduct the JEE advanced in abroad as well. The paper will be conducted in two slots: Paper 1 (09:00 to 12:00 IST) and Paper 2 (14:00 to 17:00 IST)”, mentioned the official statement.

Earlier, NTA also rescheduled the JEE Main 2019 April exam for the same reason. It was earlier scheduled to be held from 7th April to 20th April. NTA has now rescheduled JEE Main 2019 from 7th to 12th April 2019. Paper 2 (B.Arch/ B Planning) will be held on 7th April and April 8, 9, 10 and 12 have been reserved for Paper 1 (B.E/ B.Tech).

JEE Advanced will be written by those who qualify JEE Main 2019. Both the exams will be online i.e. computer-based test. The JEE Main qualified candidates will be eligible for all the engineering institutions across the nation, while to take admission into IITs or NITs, the candidates need to qualify JEE Advanced 2019.

JEE Advanced 2019 registration are yet to start on the official website i.e. jeeadv.ac.in.

The registration fee of JEE Advanced 2019 is Rs. 2600. The candidates from the reserved category (SC, ST, & PwD) along with the Indian female candidates will be given 50% relaxation on registration fee, therefore will be paying Rs. 1300. For foreigners, the fee will be $150 where the candidates who belong to SAARC nations will have to pay $75. The applicable GST is excluded from the figures.
