Noida 24th September 2018 – Public Interest Litigation (PIL) was filed by four IIT- Guwahati students against Anand Kumar, founder of coaching centre Super 30, claiming him as a fraud. With such allegation, the notice was issued to Anand by Guwahati High Court with the demand to respond the PIL.
Ashok Saraf, the senior counsel in support of the four four IIT- Guwahati students, stated that a huge mass of students from North-East visited the coaching for the guidance from Anand Kumar. However, they observed that the students who got the admission there were from Ramanujam School of Mathematics and he has taken the amount of Rs 33,000/- as admission fee. This is how Kumar has depicted bad image every year in front of the students.
In the mean time, Amit Goyal, the on record counsel for the petitioners, stated the major highlights of PIL that Anand Kumar mostly keeps on traveling to various places in India and abroad. He fails to give required time to the IIT aspirants for preparation.
He further added that an adequate inquiry was made in this matter and its revelations quoted that there is no such coaching institute Super 30 in the name of Anand Kumar and he was faking the students for money. This story came into picture in the year 2008.
He also revealed the hidden fact stating, “At the time of result declaration of IIT entrance exams, Kumar speaks to media people about the success journey of his students from Super 30 and how they have nailed the toughest exam of IIT. Those were actually from Ramanujam School of Mathematics and not from Super 30.”
Goyal also focused on the false identity of the coaching stating that the fake information was updated by Wikipedia on the web portal in the name of Super 30. This instance is published by the national newspaper and is also available on social media channels. This was not the first case against Anand kumar about his fake coaching centre. This year in July, the CBI enquiry was demanded into this case and PIL was filed in Patna High Court.
According to the reports, Super 30 was founded in Patna in the year 2002 with an objective to choose 30 meritorious and talented students every year from the economically backward classes of society and give them the guidance for IIT exams without any charge or cost.
