HTET 2018 PRT Eligibility Contradicts the Guidelines issued by CTET

NOIDA- CTET stands for Common Teachers Eligibility Test, which is not only a national level test for the recruitment of teachers, but also acts as a  regulatory body to control the state-level teachers’ eligibility tests. In 2018, CTET made an amendment in the eligibility criteria for CTET 2018 Paper I (Primary Teachers) and allowed the B.Ed qualified candidates to appear in Paper I, if they have completed certified bridge course. All the state level education boards were also supposed to follow the same.

But, in the recent HTET (Haryana Teachers Eligibility Test) 2018 notification, Board of Secondary Education Haryana declined to follow the CTET guidelines regarding the eligibility of PRT recruitment. In the eligibility criteria section of Haryana TET 2018 notification, there was no mention that B.Ed qualified candidates can appear in the Paper I i.e. test for primary teachers recruitment.

Hence, the candidates with B.Ed degree in Haryana are in the confusion whether they are eligible for HTET 2018 Paper I or not. In such a context, the candidates are clueless regarding their participation in the paper 1 of Haryana TET 2018. However, the regulatory body has stated that all diplomas/degrees in teaching education recognized by NCTE shall be considered.

HTET 2018 application form is already out and tomorrow i.e. 30th November 2018, it is the last day to submit the application form. Level of confusion among candidates is still the same.

This is all about HTET 2018 from our side till now. Stay tuned to receive more updates about the exam.
