NOIDA – Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs), under the aegis of HRD Ministry, have worked out on a plan to mentor and nurture aspiring scientists who will be trained by the eminent scientists to accomplish the milestones by development of new technology and science. The name of the scheme is expected to be ‘Navodaya Plan’.
As per a senior official, a meeting of JNV board was held in Delhi on Wednesday where the plan for mentoring 32 shortlisted candidates was approved.
A senior official said, “The three-tier screening process will be conducted to shortlist the students who have curiosity for the research. Hyderabad has been designated to establish the mentoring centre where the visiting members will be top scientists from the top-notch institutions like IITs and others.
The whole plan is based on the consultation with the scientific advisors of the prime minister, the officer concluded with this statement.
