Noida, 20th September- Official from the Government of Haryana has announced to double grant amount for school uniforms for the school children, it will benefit more than 14 lakh school students of Haryana. Earlier, the government of Haryana given a grant of Rs. 400 to each student from classes I to VIII for school uniform, but from now onwards Rs. 800 would be distributed to each student for school uniform.
An official from the government of Haryana said “The grant for school uniforms in government schools of Haryana has been doubled, a decision that would benefit around 14.61 lakh students”. The official also said that earlier, a grant of Rs. 400 was given to each student for school uniform from classes I to VIII, but now Rs. 800 would be given to each student from classes I to V for school uniform and Rs. 1,000 will be provided to the students from classes VI to VIII. Apart from the double grant of school uniform allowance, the 8,000 kits have also been sent to middle schools. Similarly, mathematics kits are also being given to primary schools for promoting Math subject.
According to the official spokesperson, a Conflict Management and Counselling Cell is being established by the Haryana School Education Department for redressal of disputes pertaining to students, teachers and parents. In the last 2 years, the School Education Department, the government of Haryana has distributed 2,300 science kits in government secondary and senior secondary schools.
