NOIDA – Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2019 started today from 2nd Feb 2019. The GATE 2019 exam will be held within four days from 2nd Feb to 10th Feb 2019. IIT-Madras has been acting as the conducting body of GATE 2019. 2nd Feb, 3rd Feb, 9th Feb, and 10th Feb are the allotted dates for GATE exam and it will be organized in two shifts on each day. The candidates aspiring for the admission to M.Tech and PhD programmes appear in GATE. Moreover, few of the PSUs also recruit candidates on the basis of their GATE score.
Candidates need to check and follow the GATE exam instructions printed on the back of their admit cards to avoid any chaos while appearing for the exam.
Exam conducting authority has not been allowing carrying any extra piece of paper for rough work as the candidates will get a scribble pad for rough work purposes. More to it, the virtual calculator will also be provided; hence, the calculators are also banned.
Only the GATE admit card, photo ID proof and a pen are allowed in the exam halls. A candidate found in the possession of anything else will be disqualified with immediate effect.
It is also mandatory for the candidates to carry the hard copy i.e. printout of their admit cards for presenting the same to invigilator. No soft copy will be entertained.
GATE 2019 result is to be announced by IIT Madras on 16th March 2019 and the GATE score will remain valid till 3 academic years.
