DU SOL Exams to Commence Soon and Students are Still Baffled about Admit Cards & Dates

DU SOL exams to commence soon

NOIDA- In Delhi University’s School of Open Learning, the students of MA Political Science had to keep patience till November 22 for their hall tickets or admits cards and schedule of various examinations and this was the case when the exams for the third semester are supposed to start in the next three days. For the students of third semester, the first exam will be held on November 26 while for the students of first semester, the first exam will take place on November 30.

The authority has yet to issue the admit cards of the students for the examinations on its official web portal that the applicants can download and take the hard copy. As far as the date sheet is concerned, the uploading for the same was done on November 22 by 8 pm.

According to the schedule given in the tentative date sheet that was forwarded to the students on October 26, the examinations for the students of first semester were supposed to begin on December 1 while for those of third semester, the first exam was expected to take place on December 3. After that, no information was updated by the authority.

One of the students from first semester quoted, “I contacted the office today to know the status of the examination and I got the information that it will begin from Monday, only three days left and I have no clarity on the type of paper and also the status of my admit card. This indicates the fact how much the university authorities are concerned about the education of the students.”

Another student stated, “According to the tentative datesheet, the schedule of our exams in the December but as per the information given by the officials, they are commencing the same pretty earlier than we expected. How the students from other cities will manage to come to the exam centre and appear for the exam?

Datesheets for all other subjects of MA like Hindi, Sanskrit, History and Commerce had been provided on the web portal in the last few days.

One of the senior SOL officials quoted that the delay in the case was made by the examination authority of DU. OSD Satish Kumar stated that they had taken the datesheet from SOL on November 22.

He added, “We have put the stamp on the same and forwarded it back to the institute. We have to undergo the process of exam centre as it is being sent to us. The examinations will take place in Arts Faculty.”
