Noida 25th September 2018: An anonymous official from Delhi University brings the matter NSUI’s secretary fake documents at the time of admission in Department of Buddhist Studies. As per the claim by the official, the National Secretary of National Students Union of India, Akshay Kumar has submitted false documents to register his seat in Department of Buddhist Studies. The whole matter was unveiled when the department has verified the degrees of the candidates who have their names enrolled for PhD courses.
The official further stated that NSUI secretary has allegedly submitted false mark sheets of Master of Arts (English). On March 16, the report regarding initial information had been registered at Maurice Nagar Police Station, he added. In the report, it was clearly mentioned by the Department of Buddhist Studies that the mark sheets submitted by Akshay Kumar in March 2017 were for the enrolment in the PhD course. These documents as claimed by Kumar were from the Manav Bharti University in Solan district of Himachal Pradesh. However, the university disagreed issuing them.
The official also quoted that the Department of Buddhist Studies will forward the matter to the Departmental Research Committee which will further hand over the case to the Board of Research Studies. He stated, “A proper streamlined procedure needs to be followed in the cases like this. The research committee cannot instantly reach to the conclusions.”
On the other side, the media and communications manager of the NSUI, Saimon Farooqui, accepted that an FIR was lodged in the month of March, however, the university failed to give evidences of its allegations. He further stated, “These allegations were given the fire to shelter the case of Ankiv Baisoya, the leaders of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad and the President of Delhi University Students Union.
Baisoya, who was appointed as the president of Delhi University Students’ Union on September 13, has been alleged by NSUI for submitting the false mark sheets and certificates of Graduation. Farooqui further claimed that in the case of Ankiv Baisoya, the university has given him the time of two months before disqualifying him, as Shakti Singh of ABVP who was the vice president of DUSU will then become the President. He also said that if Baisoya could have been disqualified before the extension time of two months, the candidate who was second in the elected list would have become the president, if not this, there would explicitly be the scenario of re-polling.”
