Delhi University to Conduct Meeting to Give Verdict over DUSU President – The Department of Buddhist Studies of Delhi University has announced for a meeting of the admission committee on Monday regarding the complaint against DU’s new student s’ Union President namely Ankiv Basoya from Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) for submitting the fake degree to seek admission in the Prestigious University. Discussing the complaints, KTS Sarao, The Head of Department of Buddhist Studies said that they have received a couple of complaints and unproven marksheets of Basoya and all because of that they have called a panel meeting of the admission committee at 11 am on Monday in order to verify the certificates.
On Wednesday, the complaints against Ankiv Basoya were submitted by the member of National Student’s Union of India (NSUI) and All India Student Association (AISA) against 23-years-old DU’s new student’s Union President Ankiv Basoya who is currently pursuing MA in Buddhist Studies from DU and claimed to have completed his graduation from Thiruvalluvar University which is “ingenuity” according to the B. Senthil Kumar, controller of examination of Thiruvalluvar University. Now, as per the record of Thiruvalluvar University in Tamil Nadu, Basoya has never been a student of the University whereas, during the same time period i.e. in the session of 2013-2016, he also got figured on the record of Delhi Univeristy’s College of Vocational Studies.
Now, according to the Dean of Student Welfare (DSW), a candidate can pursue only one course at a time and if he/she is interested in doing any other course can go at a distance/open mode.
