Delhi police files chargesheet against ten accused of CBSE paper leak

NOIDA- As per the findings of investigation by a Crime Branch special investigation team, Delhi police has filed a chargesheet against the 10 accused for Class X and XII board examination paper leaks this year.

According to the police, they got the lead from Himachal Pradesh where the class 10th Mathematics and class 12th Economics papers were handwritten by two students as per the instructions laid by the accused, and later the handwritten question papers were leaked through WhatsApp.

Police also stated that a male student of class 10th and a female student of class 12th were involved in writing the leaked sets of question papers.

“The accused gave both the students bribe in terms of handing over the question papers without charging money to convince them to write the sets. Rakesh has been identified as the main accused, who was employed as a TGT (Trained Graduate Teacher) at DAV Public School that time’, stated Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Dr Ram Gopal Naik.

Police also mentioned that Rakesh has a relative whose son also appeared in class 10th board examination that time and both the papers were written at his house in Himachal Pradesh.

On Thursday, a 482-page chargesheet was submitted at Karkardooma court and ten people were named as accused in it.

Six of the accused are from Himachal Pradesh, while four of the accused are from a renowned convent school in Delhi as per Naik.
