Delhi Police Files an FIR against IGNOU Question Paper Leak Case

NOIDA- Delhi Police has now got into action and registered an FIR days after the incidence of question paper leak of BCS-031 test of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU). It was reported earlier that the question paper had been leaked on WhatsApp- a chatting app. Delhi Police has also interrogated around 20 students to figure out the links. After IGNOU Registrar S.G. Swami lodged a complaint, the police filed an FIR with the charges like criminal conspiracy and cheating over the C++ question paper leak. The complaint was raised in Dabri Police Station of Dwarka district, New Delhi.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Anto Alphonse stated that the police is involved in the investigation of IGNOU question paper leak case and trying to figure out the roots from where it all started.

As per the statement given for FIR, the Registrar of IGNOU reached home on 5th December and received a WhatsApp message carrying the leaked question paper in a transmitted format.

Since he was quite sure that the origin point of question paper leak was Dwarka examination centre under Dabri Police Station, he alerted all the other exam centres in Delhi regarding the same and to keep a vigil eye over any such instance.

“As the matter was highly sensitive, we informed the Chairman about the leak. During inquiry, we found the same question paper on mobile phones of several candidates,” said Vijay Pal, the observer of Dwarka centre.

The DP investigation primarily says that question paper was very first transmitted from a group of IGNOU students who belong to a coaching institute located in Dwarka.
