On October 13, the Government of Delhi has made the declaration of Chief Minister’s Urban Leaders Fellowship Programme with an objective to inspire the young generation of the country to contribute to a wide range of solutions to serious urban challenges.
Next day, Manish Sisodia, Delhi Deputy Chief Minister tweeted, “Exhilarated to address the launch of Chief Minister’s Urban Leaders Fellowship Programme. If you are young under the age of 35 years and carry the aspiration to contribute for the growth of nation, we invite you to take part in #DelhiGovernanceRevolution.”
After the selection, the candidate will have to work with Ministers or Senior Officials of Education, Water, Health, Environment, Transport, etc.
As far as the remuneration is concerned, the Fellows will get Rs. 1, 25, 000 per month and the Associate Fellows will receive Rs. 75,000 per month. There will be total 30 positions that are supposed to be filled up and out of them, 10 will be for Associate Fellows.
The candidates who are Graduates and have at least 5 years of full time work experience will be eligible to apply. Those who possess PhD degree are supposed to possess the work experience of one year, full time. In case of Company Secretaries and Chartered Accountants, the work experience of three years will be needed post registration.
The Graduates with experience of one year can apply for Associate Fellowship. Those who are Company Secretaries and Chartered Accountants must possess the work experience of one year after registration.
The last date to submit the applications for CMULF will be November 4. The candidates who are willing to apply need to visit at cmulf.dtu.ac.in.
On November 15, the first list of the applicants for interview will be declared. There will be the experts from academia and civil society and the officials from Government of NCT of Delhi in the interview panel. The applicants will have the time till December 7 to take the offer.
Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal quoted, “The government of Delhi has embarked the name and fame globally for its policies that include the transformation of government schools, clause of top-quality primary healthcare at mohalla clinics, introduction of Happiness curriculum in schools, uninterrupted power supply at lowest tariff in the country and home delivery of government services.”
He also added, “Now, it’s your time to come forward and participate in a move that is aimed to bring change in the city of Delhi and make it one of the leading cities in the world.”
The programme is all about bringing the change in the society and attracting the youth to show their passion for public service and work with the Government for two years.
