Noida-Candidates who have made the mindset to pursue their career in law must fill the application form for CLAT 2019 which will be made live from 13th January 2019 by NLU, Cuttack (Odisha). Although, earlier, the application form filling procedure was about to commence from 10th January 2019 but later on it postponed and extended to January 13. All the interested candidates can fill the application form in online mode merely by visiting the official website and the last day to apply for the same is until 31st March 2019. Candidates on clearing the entrance test of CLAT can get into National Law Universities (NLUs) across the country and other college/universities that accept the score of CLAT.
Prior to filling the application form, it is obligatory for all the candidates to go through the eligibility criteria to ensure that they fulfill or meet the requirement that has been set by the examination conducting authority. So, basically according to the eligibility criteria, students applying for the undergraduate programs (5-year integrated) and belongs to general category must have cleared the intermediate (12th) with aggregate marks of 45%. Besides, the reserved category candidates such as SC/ST must have acquired 40% of aggregate marks in the same. Further, there is no upper age limit to apply for CLAT 2019. Moving ahead to the requirements for postgraduate law program wherein candidates need to have 50% marks in LLB degree. On the other hand, to the SC/ST category candidates, 5% relaxation is given.
Now, moving ahead towards the procedure to infill the application form, the candidates have to complete the registration process first by providing the general details such as candidate’s name, parent’s name, birth date, mobile number, and email address. Post which the login credentials i.e. login id and password will be sent to the registered email address and mobile number of the candidates. Using the credentials, candidates can proceed for filling up the application form.
Whilst filling the form, candidates have to give their basic as well as previous academic details. Apart, the scanned image of 10th and 12th mark sheets, photograph, signature, and most importantly those belonging to the reserved category have to upload their reservation certificate along with the previous significant documents in the prescribed format. Also, the application form will be successfully submitted after the payment of the application fee which is 4000/- for general category candidates and that for SC/ST, it is 3500/-. Moreover, the payment of the same should be done in online mode using credit card/debit card or net banking. After all, do not forget to take the print out of the confirmation page for the further usage.
CLAT, an elision for Common Law Admission Test is a national level law entrance test which is conducted every year in various cities across the country to offer undergraduate and postgraduate law programs to the candidates. On the basis of CLAT, candidates can take admission in top colleges apart from 21 NLUs that accept the score of CLAT. The entrance test of CLAT 2019 will be conducted on 12th May 2019 in offline mode by NLU, Cuttack (Odisha). CLAT 2019 exam will commence from 3:00 pm wherein the candidates will be allotted the time duration of 2 hours to attempt the total number of 200 questions of 1 mark each. Therefore, those intended to appear in the entrance for pursuing either undergraduate or postgraduate law program must fill the form on a priority basis once it commences.
