NOIDA- In order to prohibit the question paper leak instances, CBSE has decided to shift the responsibility of sending the question papers to PSU banks for distribution at exam centers. Also, the CCTV cameras will be used to keep surveillance over question paper handover process at respective schools.
CBSE Regional Director, RJ Khanderao announced the information while attending a science exhibition as a chief guest.
Khanderao clarified that the CBSE question papers will be sent to nationalized banks only; not the cooperative banks. The banks have been instructed to maintain the CCTV footage of 30 days at least. The question papers will be provided to bank supervisors as per the CBSE date sheet only.
He also gave clarity that the question papers will be sent to only those banks which are not situated within the school premises. Only those banks will be designated which are at least 3-4 km away from the respective school. He added that CBSE has taken this decision to conduct the exams with more transparency.
As per Khanderao, it was noticed earlier that while answer sheet evaluation, few of the schools did not send their teachers. Repeating such an action again may lead the teachers and management of concerned schools to face strict action. The affiliation of the concerned school will also be cancelled by CBSE.
The regional director also indicated that CBSE would review the exam centers from next year onwards. It has been observed that for many years, the exam centers of most of the schools have remained unchanged. After next year review, the exam centers of such schools would be changed.
