Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has decided to conduct Aptitude test for class 9 & 10 students. The motive of starting conducting aptitude test is to give direction to the students towards their career. The initiative was performed by releasing a circular on 10 January 2019. The KYA that stands for Know Your Aptitude will help the students of CBSE to understand their strength and limitations before going to make choice in career options.
Test will be conducted at the respective schools through the teachers. Schools are required to download test guides, manual, test booklet and answer sheets which will be available to the schools on the official website of CBSE from January 29. After the completion of the test, teachers will be responsible in evaluating the performance of the students on the basis of the marking guidelines framed by the board.
Schools are not required to share the record of test but required to share how test of conducted. CBSE also clarified the test is voluntary. The motive of conducting this examination is only to enhance the decision making of the students. Starting it from 9 & 10 standards, it will be very beneficial for the students in the career ahead.
There will be no involvement of the board while test will be conducting in the schools. All teachers and administration will be the only responsible bodied to conduct the aptitude test. CBSE will take this test through the teachers of the concerned schools.
