CBSE Extends Registration Date for Single Girl Child Scholarship Schemes

Noida 6th October 2018: Central Board of Secondary Education has taken the initiative of time extension for the submission of online application in case of single girl child scholarship scheme. The dates for CBSE Merit Scholarship Scheme for Single Girl Child in case of 10+2 studies have been extended. Not only this, the renewal schedule of online applications for CBSE Merit Scholarship Scheme for Single Girl Child X Pass awarded in 2017 has also been extended.

As far as the CBSE Merit Scholarship Scheme in case of Single Girl Child for 10+2 studies 2018 is concerned, the deadline has been changed and extended till October 15, 2018.

On the other side, when it comes to the Renewal of Online applications of CBSE Merit Scholarship Scheme in case of Single Girl Child X Pass awarded in 2017, the end date to submit online application is October 15, 2018. However, the deadline to submit the printed copy of application form in case of renewal is November 15, 2018 now.

The other related criteria for the scholarships like eligibility requirements etc will not be changed. In order to apply for the scholarships, the students will have to go to the web portal of CBSE that is www.cbse.nic.in and click on the given scholarship link. This way they can get the access of the scholarship form and apply for the same as per the given online instructions.

In the mean time, CBSE has declared the new schedule of board exams for class 10th and 12th. As per the same, the examinations will be commenced from February instead of March.

The exams pertaining to the Vocational subjects that are skill based will take place in the second half of February 2019.

Not only this, CBSE recently has taken one more initiative where it has revised the pattern of the exam for English (Core) subject so that it would not become too lengthy for the students. The improvised paper pattern will be effective from the board exams of 2019.
