Noida 27th Sep 2018: CBSE board exams for the year 2019 will be commenced from the month of February and the authority will announce the overall schedule of the exam in the next week, as informed by the central board on Wednesday. The board has also specified to conduct the exams for Skill Education (Vocational) and other related subjects in the mid of February month.
It has further stated that the skill education would enhance the practical approach of the students. Rather than sticking to the theoretical concept, the students also need to diversify their skills and relate the same to the practical scenarios. This would boost their inner confidence and increase their skills when they go out for higher studies or choose their own field of career.
The board has taken the move after the announcement of Delhi High Court order on July 11, 2018. The court had ordered the CBSE and the Delhi University to provide assurance that from the beginning of the academic year, the CBSE result involving that of re-evaluation will be considered at the time of evaluating the cut-off schedule for admission to various colleges of DU.
After the declaration of the order, HRD minister, Prakash Javadekar has also instructed both the CBSE and the university to follow the court’s order.
Focusing on the practical aspect of education, the board will take the initiative of organizing the examinations for the subjects like Typography, Graphics, Web applications, Computer Applications, Office Communication etc that carry great practical element and less theory papers. This exam will be conducted apart from 40 different vocational subjects. With this, the students will be able to learn about the practical aspects of education that would help them when they begin their journey of nurturing the career or at the time of higher studies.
The board stated in a media report about the earlier release of results to make the students apply for various degree courses. It stated that as there is the advancement of datasheet, the results of the candidates for main and re-evaluation will be announced a little earlier. This will surely facilitate the students to seek admissions in different degree programmes from a wide range of reputable universities in the country.
The board has organized the last year examinations from the month of March till April. There were overall registrations of 10.76 lakh students for the exam. Out of these, 10.20 lakh had given the paper.
