NOIDA– On Saturday, the Bihar Board 12th (Intermediate) result was declared for all the streams i.e. Science, Commerce, and Arts. The overall pass percentage this year made the new record and registered the pass percentage of 79.76%. This year the girls topped the Science and Arts streams whereas a boy reached the pinnacle in Commerce stream.
Last year, the overall pass percentage was 52.71%.
Rohini Prakash obtained 473 marks from 500 and topped the science stream. Rohini Rani from Arts stream got 463 marks and declared the topper of her respective stream. In commerce stream, Satyam Kumar attained the highest 472 marks.
Additional Chief Secretary of Education Department R K Mahajan, in the dignified presence of BSEB chairman Anand Kishore, announced the results of all three streams.
Addressing the media personnel, Kishore shared that the total 79.76 per cent candidates passed the 12th exam this year in all three streams- Science, Commerce, and Arts. The pass percentage this year has left behind the previous year’s pass percentage of 52.71%.
Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) will start the scrutiny process of intermediate examination from 3rd April 2019. Scrutiny process is meant for those students who are not satisfied with their marks and want to check their copies to understand the mark distribution.
BSEB conducted the intermediate examination from 6th February to 16th February 2019 and overall 12,78,655 students from all three streams had appeared in the exam. The number of successful students is 10,19,855 to be precise.
BSEB will award the cash prize of Rs. 1 Lakh each to toppers of all the streams while the students who attained second and third positions will receive the cash prize of Rs 75,000 and Rs 50,000 along with a laptop and Kindle e-reader.
