Age will not be a constraint for JEE Advanced 2019

NOIDA: The Supreme Court has passed an order to put no constraint on the age limit for the IIT JEE exam and JEE Advanced 2019. This order has brought joy to the faces of the JEE Main aspirants; especially, the candidates who were restricted due to exceeding the earlier defined age limit. It is soon to be updated on the official website of JEE Advanced i.e. jeeadv.ac.in. However, the clarity on how the order will be implemented and with effect from when is yet to be given by the authorities.

JEE Advanced is a test conducted for admissions into IITs and the students who qualify JEE Main with the rank needed for JEE Advanced. NTA has recently released the result of JEE Main 2019. After the result declaration of JEE Main April 2019, the JEE Advanced 2019 will be conducted on 19th May 2019 by IIT Roorkee this year.

The exact time of the SC order implementation is yet to be confirmed by the concerned bodies right now. This order would also make the NTA remove the age restrictions applied on JEE Main eligibility criteria. The first phase JEE Main 2019 has already been completed; in such a context, it would be easy to assume from when the court order would be made effective.

All the candidates need to keep visiting the official website of JEE Advanced (jeeadv.ac.in) to get clarification on this because the first public announcement is expected to be made there. IITs will soon intimate regarding how and when the orders would be implemented.
